Update Log 14/11/2022 (Duplicate Support Request Bug)



Description

We are pleased to advise of a number of fixes within Hermes, as well as some important new reports within ADelphi. These items are part of a wider list we are currently assessing, prioritising and scheduling for resolution. Please see below information, detailing the Hermes fixes that have been recently implemented. We have also resolved a number of issues with Annual Returns within Hermes, information on this will be provided in due course.

Bug raising Support Requests (resulting in duplicates) 

Issue Description: When a Hermes Administrator raises a Support Request they see an error message and the screen does not refresh, meaning they think it has not been raised and thus submit the request again. The SR is actually raised each time it is submitted and this has led to many duplicate SRs and affects the credibility of the system.

Issue Resolution: Error message will no longer be displayed and Support Request creation will process as expected.




Joiner process not always checking for email change 

Issue Description: If a member's email address is amended after they are added as an Enquirer and sent the Genuine Enquiry login emails, and then these emails are resent, they continue to be resent to the originally stored email address. System should check for current email address when using 'Resend Credentials'. This has led to a lot of confusion and massively negatively impacted credibility of the system.

Issue Resolution: This issue affected the ‘Resend Genuine Enquiry Email’ button, as a check for a changed password was not completed prior to resending the credentials, meaning they were sent to the email address that was set at the point the Enquiry was added.

 




Environment Name not shown on login screen

Issue Description: We have had a large volume of issues and requests to reset accounts when the Hermes Administrator reports that their account is 'Locked'. This is invariably because they are trying to access Hermes Production using the Hermes Sandbox URL. We plan to implement a clear on screen notice showing which environment login screen they are accessing.

Issue Resolution: Will display environment name on login screen, except for Production Hermes





Prevent SR being raised by Candidate or similar 

Issue Description: The ORF allowed Prospective Members to raise Support Requests in certain places where a modal screen had been reused (Orders and Decorations, Address). This led to issues as the Support System could not identify the User/Unit that the SR was from.

Issue Resolution: Support Requests can now only be raised by Hermes Administrators. Issues encountered by Candidates, or Officers fulfilling specific Hermes functions, will need to be raised with the Hermes Administrator so that they can raise a Support Request.




 

Drill down on Annual returns does not always show details 

Issue Description: When clicking on an Annual Return detailed view you should see each item for that specific fee. In the case of Grand Charity this is not working. 

Issue Resolution: This issue was caused by a data issue with the Grand Charity fee and has now been resolved, allowing the ability to view all members being charged for.
