Old Hermes 'Training Webinars' - Replaced in 2025
Description
In this section you can access all of the Hermes Training Webinars that have been created. Below is a list of those available, all of which can be watched in your own time and at your own speed. Simply click the name of the webinar you wish to watch below and it will take you to a page where you can play the video. All webinars can be made fullscreen to ensure you are able to follow the content. We strongly recommend watching all of these webinars to aid you with your transition to Hermes.
Webinars Available
1. 'Introduction to Hermes' (35mins) - This webinar introduces Hermes, explaining what it is and why it is being introduced, as well as what's changing as a result of Hermes. There is then a series of demonstration videos showing an overview of the system, the process for setting or resetting your password once using Hermes, and then the Help Hub and Support System. It finishes with an explanation of Data Initiation (Week 1 Tasks) and then an overview of the remaining webinars available.
2. 'Managing Member Data' (35mins) - This webinar covers filtering, sorting and searching the Current Member list, as well as copying email addresses in to an email. There is then a demonstration of the Member Details screen, and how to update member data such as their address or phone number, and then explains changing membership status such as resignations or cessations. It finishes by explaining the Masonic Information and Ceremonial Activities tabs of the Member Details screen.
3. 'Prospective Members' (35mins) - This webinar covers the new member registration process for members joining your unit. The webinar explains adding Enquirers, progressing them to the Prospect stage and then sending to Proposer and Seconder for approval. Once they've approved Hermes will automatically send an email to the WM/MEZ for final approval.
4. 'Additional Features' (20mins) - Covered in this webinar is the Lodge Information Screen, which allows you to check a variety of information related to your unit as well as adding any meeting dates that can't be calculated. Then we demonstrate how to check your current list of Officers and add an 'Office Specific Email Address'. It continues with how to apply for, and ultimately download a dispensation and finally how to request and withdraw a Degree By Request.
5. 'Annual Returns' (10mins) - This webinar covers the new Annual Returns process, which allows you to review the items you will be charged for all year round, leading up to your Annual Return Due Date. Once Due, you will be able to make a final review prior to sending the Annual Return to your Treasurer to approve. Once approved the Treasurer will receive payment details to make the payment, due within 30 days.
6a. 'Pre-Meeting Management (Craft)' (30mins) - In this webinar we cover completing the pre-meeting actions for Regular Meetings, Election Meetings and Installation Meetings. This includes the creation of agendas, the submission and download of the agenda so that it can be added to your Summons and the adding of apologies.

This includes the creation of agendas, the submission and download of the agenda so that it can be added to your Summons and the adding of apologies.
7a. 'Post-Meeting Management (Craft)' (30mins) - In this webinar you will learn how to process the post meeting actions for Regular, Election and Installation Meetings for the Craft. This includes completing the attendance register, processing the Post-Meeting Report (PMR), adding Charitable Donations and if necessary completing an Installation Return.
